Golfplay, a golf entertainment venue with two locations in Waterloo Region - west of Toronto, Ontario, makes golf fun for everyone. With a collection of TwoVision, Vision, and GDR+ GOLFZON simulators, they provide a fun experience for both golfers and non-golfer’s alike. Golfers can experience a challenging game with technology to help improve their skills, while non-golfers have the choice of beginner courses and easier game formats.

What got you into indoor golf?
The Canadian winters got me into indoor golf.
What is your greatest accomplishment in golf?
Won the 2023 Head Professional Championship of Canada.
What is your lowest tournament round and what was the event? Shot 65 in the 2023 PGA of Ontario Fall Championship to win by 2.
Did you play college golf, if so where?
Played Collegiate Golf at Georgian College in Barrie Ontario.
Anything else the audience should know?
Just had a baby boy who is 2 months old.

I played Basketball and Volleyball.
What got you into indoor golf?
Canada has some harsh winters and outdoor golf isn’t an option. The indoor scene started up about 10 years ago with technology making a huge impact.
What is your greatest accomplishment in golf?
I played on the Canadian National Team, had status on the PGA Americas for 5 years. Played in 3 Canadian Opens including low Canadian in 2006. Have won over 40 professional tournaments.
What is your lowest tournament round and what was the event?
63 (-9) PGA of Canada National Championships.
Did you play college golf, if so where?
Virginia Commonwealth University and University of Waterloo.
Anything else the audience should know?
I’m a full time golf coach and instructor.

I’ve won a provincial event and came top 10 at the PGA of Canada Championship.
What is your lowest tournament round and what was the event?
Shot 66 a couple times at the Ontario Am.

What got you into indoor golf?
Mainly the snow, however it is a great way to work on your game, evaluating your numbers and swing. Also a great way to socialize with friends.
What is your greatest accomplishment in golf?
Making the US Amateur at Oakland Hills, playing against a high level field like the greatest amateurs in the world was a privilege, the staff and volunteers really made you feel like royalty!
What is your lowest tournament round and what was the event?
62 (-10) Great Lakes Tour- Batteaux Creek Golf Club

Where are you from?
Originally, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada but I have been living in southern Ontario/Kitchener for 10 years.
How long have you been playing golf?
I have been playing golf for 28 years - I started when I was 10 at a local pitch & putt, playing with my dad and grandfather.
Did you play other sports growing up?
Yes, lots. Played a lot of hockey, baseball and basketball but also participated in soccer, tennis, track & field. I was very active when I was younger.
What got you into indoor golf?
Besides just a love for golf and wanting to play year-round (it gets tough in Canada). I started managing Golfplay when we opened our first location and fell in love with the GOLFZON simulators. Nothing comes close to simulating a round of golf (outdoors) like a GOLFZON simulator.
What is your greatest accomplishment in golf?
I have a few two-man tournament wins - one as an amateur and one as a professional. The professional win is probably the one I’m most proud of. James Skrypec (also on team Golfplay) and I won a pro-pro/pro-am at a local private course, Westmount. It is one of the longest running pro-ams in the country (they claim the longest), at one of the top clubs in the country. It’s a two day event and we played very well to beat a lot of really great teams. I also have a GOLFZON North American GNAT (Round 2) win, which was pretty cool.
What is your lowest tournament round and what was the event?
I’ve shot -12 multiple times in GOLFZON online tournaments - I think that’s my lowest indoors. Outdoors, I think it is a 70 in the Westmount pro-am event.
Did you play college golf? If so, where?
No, I did not.
Anything else the audience should know?
I manage Golfplay and I am very proud of the team we have assembled for the GOLFZON Tour. It’s going to be a lot of fun competing in this event and seeing how we stack up against the competition. Go team Golfplay!
