DAVID WHITENER
Where are you from?
I am from Rochester Hills, Michigan but i was born in Seoul Korea.
How long have you been playing golf?
I have been playing golf since I was 6 years old.
Did you play other sports growing up?
I played basketball, baseball, and gymnastics.
What got you into indoor golf?
I live in Michigan where 4 months out of the year it’s chilly and Tee Times indoor golf is just so convenient for me. It allows me to work on ball striking, consistency and swing mechanics while avoiding freezing weather.
What is your lowest tournament round and what was the event?
My lowest tournament round is a 70 - 76 at my home course club championship at Prestwick Village, Michigan back in 2002. 3rd place.
What is your greatest accomplishment in golf?
I became a member of Oakland Hills, Country Club in 2022, It’s a top 20 course in the U.S.A. and I’m honored to be a member and represent our club at the event.
Did you play college golf, if so where?
I regretfully didn’t play in college. And went to an art school with no athletic department.
Anything else the audience should know?
I’m the backup to our core team. A benchwarmer to put it mildly but if anything happens and I am needed to step up and play I’m confident that any of our guys could play and we can still win. We have the best overall team in the tournament and were ready to showcase that.

BLAKE HERDER
Where are you from?
I grew up in Oregon in a town of 500 total humans (I don’t suggest it, but it wasn’t all bad). When I was traveling the USA as a Tour Manager post college, I met a girl from Michigan, so I moved to Michigan (yes it’s very cold in the winter, but TeeTimes is always a nice temperature) got married, had two awesome kids who are now 12 (Ella) and 9 (Mason). Mason loves playing on GOLFZON at TeeTimes Rochester Hills as well!
How long have you been playing golf?
I tried playing when I was 7 because my older brother got clubs (but it was too frustrating). When Tiger Woods came on the scene, a course was built a few miles from my home and my High School started a golf team. What are the odds of that! After college I took 15 years away from golf to concentrate on my career and raising our kids, but got back to playing when covid hit.
Did you play other sports growing up?
Basketball.
What got you into indoor golf?
As a busy working Dad, being efficient with my time is key. I haven’t played golf on a real course in almost 2 years. I’m seeing how long I can go. So far, I don’t miss 5+ hour rounds, bad weather etc etc etc.
What is your greatest accomplishment in golf?
A few college tournament / match wins.
What is your lowest tournament round and what was the event? -3 68 in a college match sophomore year.
Did you play college golf, if so where?
Yes, played 2 years at Grays Harbor College in WA State.
Anything else the audience should know?
Not sure how it happened, but I’m the “old guy” on this squad. With my teammates blasting tee shots 350, I just sit back and watch their tee shot whiz over my ball.

BRANDON BARROWS
Where are you from?
I’m from Lake Orion, Michigan.
How long have you been playing golf?
I’ve been playing for about 24 years, starting when I was 3 or 4 years old.
What got you into indoor golf?
Living in Michigan, we only have about 6–7 months of playable weather each year, so indoor golf is the perfect way to play year-round.
What is your greatest accomplishment in golf?
At 13, I became the youngest person to qualify for the Michigan Amateur Championship and also qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur two out of three years.
What is your lowest tournament round and what was the event?
I shot a 65 during an Adams Tour event at The Fortress.
Did you play college golf? If so, where?
Yes, I played for one year at Mott Community College.
Anything else the audience should know?
Golf has been a part of my life since I was a little kid, thanks to my granddad, Jerry Prieskorn. He was a retired golf pro who used to own Bald Mountain Golf Course, and he’s the one who got me started. I’d watch him and my dad practice on the range when I was barely 3 or 4 years old, and I’ve been hooked ever since. My granddad always encouraged me but never pushed—I’ve always loved practicing and improving on my own.
